These days due to the increased exposure to pollution, preservatives and pesticides we are accumulating lots of toxins in our body. These toxins are very harmful for our health. They may lead to gastric health issues, metabolic diseases, fertility problem, skin problems, respiratory problems, weak immunity and cancer . Therefore it is very important to detox yourself on a regular basis.

Detox water is not limited to fruits and vegetable infused water but it is much more than that. We can prepare this detox water in a number of ways.  Here I am sharing five detox recipes that you can easily prepare at home. To get more benefit always drink this  as a first thing in the morning.

1.   Haldi Tea 


To prepare this tea add equal amount of haldi and ginger to boiling water and boil it till it become half. You can also add a pinch of black pepper as it increase
 the absorption of curcumin. Once it cools down add 1tsp of honey and your haldi tea is ready.   Haldi, a spice that has long been recognized for its medicinal properties is rich in antioxidants, helps to reduce anxiety, inflammation and arthritis pain. It also helps to reduce exercise-induced muscle soreness. Therefore it is perfect recipe for winter detox.

2. Ginger Detox tea


To prepare this recipe Boil the water with grated ginger. Strain it, once cool down but not completely add lemon juice and pink salt. This ginger tea helps to reduce digestive complain, pain and inflammation during winter.

3. Orange and carrot Smoothie


To prepare this juice blend 2-3 Carrots, juice or 2 oranges, 2tsp of ginger and 1 ½ tsp of turmeric
  and blend it. This detox juice is filled with essential vitamins which makes it perfect for flushing out toxins and retaining energy for the day.

4. Dhania smoothie 


To prepare this smoothie first of all you need to prepare dhania chutney. Take 2tbsp of this chutney, add jeera powder, lemon juice and black salt for taste. Dhania has lots of bioactive compound that has its own medicinal value. This juice helps to manage diabetes, reduce inflammation and has diuretic properties which makes it perfect drink to start your day.

5.  Amla juice 


To make this juice chop amla roughly, combine it with chopped ginger and little water in a mixer jar and blend. Strain the juice. You can add little pink salt for taste and your juice is ready. Amla possess chemopreventive effects, rich in Vitamin C, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties. Amla also helps in prevention and treatment of cancer.
